Group Visits: Groups with at least 12 people qualify for our group admission rates for a self-guided tour. For reservation and group rate information, please call the museum at 409-765-5700 or email info@galvestonrrmuseum.org

Admission

Self-guided tour. At least 1 hour recommended for touring the museum. Last admission sold 30 minutes prior to closing.

Hours and Prices are subject to change. Special Event fees may apply.

Accessibility

Entrance: The Museum entrances are wheelchair accessible. The Museum's Parking lot at 2602 Santa Fe Place has handicap parking available.

Exhibits: All display buildings and the historic depot are accessible. The rail yard itself is accessible with sidewalk paths.  However, due to the historic nature of the trains, the rail cars are not wheelchair accessible and do require a few steps to enter. Narrow hallways inside the trains may also restrict the use of wheelchair and walkers.

Restrooms: All restrooms are accessible.

​

Seating: Seating is available in the climate-controlled depot. Additionally, seating throughout the rail cars may be used as a rest area. 

Audio Tours

The Galveston Railroad Museum's Audio Tour is now available in the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
