2018 Galveston Train Day

The Museum hosted is 4th Annual Texas Chief special excursion on March 10th, 2018. The run was originally schedule for September of 2017 but posted due to Hurricane Harvey. The train ran from Galveston to the BNSF yard in South Houston and back. The Museum's two F-units performed flawlessly and video posted online shows them running at 55 mph on tangent track between Houston and Galveston.

300 riders, including Musuem staff and board, 75 First Responders, and 146 paying passengers enjoyed the fact-paced run to and from Houston. Again, this year's run was a huge success!

Author Eric Peterson had a table outside the People's Gallery where he sold copies of his new book, "The Dining Car".
