Railfans we heard you!

This year the Galveston Railroad Museum will remain open to the public for regular admission and viewing of its railyard, while also producing our holiday event, A Railroad Christmas.

Visitors wishing to forgo holiday magic will be welcomed to the museum during the week, at regular admission prices.  The hours are generally Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm.  There are a few days we close early, so please check the schedule below.  Parking will still be free for day visitors, but the parking lot will close 30 minutes after the museum closes, at which point parking passes will be required.

The Map Room, where Storytime with Mrs. Claus will occur, and the Railway Express Building, where the Walkthrough Storybook are, will remain closed to general admission ticket holders.

Holiday Hours are also listed on the schedule as well!  Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and all their helpers will be in the museum Friday evenings, Saturday afternoon and evenings, and Sunday afternoons.

But that's not all!  A Railroad Christmas will also offer 3 bonus days while the kids are out of school!  Monday - Wednesday, December 21-23rd the museum will be open from 3 pm - 9 pm to make sure last-minute visitors will be able to visit the winter wonderland before Christmas.
